Hmm, so I stumbled upon this game... is it just me, or is this going a little far?
That is indeed in poor taste.
While I agree that it is inappropriate I must admit that it made me chuckle. Of course, if you use my sophomoric sense of humor as the scale than most games would be titled "Fart" and/or "Poop"
When I looked at the title and the game, thought that might be bratac pushing the envelope.
Might be a little bit too far, yea. I don't personally care but if you want to keep this a family friendly site then it is definitely not appropriate.
It might help if we don't reward the flagrant offenders by publicizing them in the forums. =/
I don't understand.. Why is this page still on-line? Are the guidelines not clear enough?
"Any messages or images that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, racist, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violate any laws are considered unacceptable and will be removed from these forums."
Other than the fact that this is a title and not a message, it seems pretty clear to me that it doesn't belong here.. If it has not been pulled because of this loophole then, by all means change the language to include any and all forms of messages and materials posted or otherwise submitted.
Has been updated and the offender PMd.
Yeah, the cigar and Gatling gun are intimidating, but it's nice to have a benevolent dictator.
As long as we don't censor game names using puns about Crabs once my Riskiest Catch map is released. That would be sad.
aww and i missed what everyone was talkin about.
Thanks - updated.
What about inappropriate user names?
I guess it's not too big a problem if they are only in the New Users section and then never come back, but even if they only play in Private games, names like this wouldn't look good in the Active players section IMO, and probably looks bad in the New Members section of the unlogged-in home page.
asm is a CYLON!!!

That player is logged into the forum as I type this. I notice (s)he is not playing in any games.. Seeing as players are not allowed to change their screen-names, I would say just delete the account and send an e-mail suggesting that the person try again with a more appropriate moniker. Two strikes and that e-mail address is blocked. ..or in the case of one strike, no e-mail is necessary.
The account in question as been disabled - the problem is that it's practically impossible to implement filters which stop this sort of thing without causing problems with genuine words or names (for a good idea of the problems with this try Googling 'clbuttic').
As membership becomes larger, posting individual issues like this on the forums will likely get out of control. Perhaps you should have a "report this user" button on an appropriate pages. Clicking it opens a message box so the person using it can explain the problem or cut and paste a url to the game in question, etc.
True good idea thanks.
I once played a game where if your name was reported as offensive, the moderators would change it for you to something... unimpressive. Either emasculating, fanciful, nerdly, or otherwise. There was no petitioning to have it changed to something else you wanted, either. Just a thought.
