This game will be quick, it will favor the experienced player - or the dice in the event of equally capable players and is pretty scrappy.
But it's got some cool features. You can come back right at the end, if you're lucky. It's easy to see what you need to do, so when you can't do it... that's kind of exciting.
Because of the small number of territories and units, There is a real random element to it.
I love this board. Not sure why, but I do. The thing I like best is the speed of this board. It's usually over fairly quick, but the game play is great.
I like it. Quick and fun. It's like HORSE with a little more to the bonus battling portion. The doomsday territory allows for any leaders position to dissolve quickly. Makes for a few interesting turns, and the game is only a few turns long. Battle for bonuses, then go for it! HORSE + 1.
An intriguing theme/design. Good graphics. Reasonably balanced play for a two player game.
For some reason gameplay seems just a bit too prescribed, which leaves me feeling at the mercy of the dice a bit more than usual. Admittedly, this might be sour grapes because I haven't won on this board, but there you have it.
This is a great board with a fun theme. Who doesn't like to bowl? Just like real bowling you find this board to be easy to understand, difficult to master, frustrating at times, and your opponent will bowl better than you, but there will also be times when you are able to come out on top. Now, go knock down some pins.
Surprisingly amazing! I've never really thought a Bowling board would have much of a chance as a Risk variation board, but Amidon has done an awesome job of creating a balanced duel board that can be an enjoyable tug of war. Fairly quick to understand and pick up and play.
Good balancing act of growing and keeping the other person in check. The graphics are in the nice category, but they get the job done. Overall the gameplay has been great!
