Used to play this board game many years ago until my opponent moved to a different part of the country. Not sure how good either of us were, hope to learn some new tricks now :)
My avatar coin is a 6 1/4 stuiver from 1672 minted in Groningen Ommelanden, a province in what is today the Netherlands. I felt it represented me decently. I'm a bit square too. And I'm born in 1972, which is just a 9 on the head away from 1672. The denomination is a bit unusual and so, I like to think, am I. I am a coin collector and this coin is in fact in my collection.
When it was minted the city of Groningen was under siege from the troops of the bishop of Münster and they didn't have access to their regular mint. So it's a coin made under duress. But the city emerged victorious in the end. I hoped this could be a good omen for my site results.

Hi Litotes, my bad on that Lion Tourney game. I forgot the Crown was only 20 armies and should have ended that game turns ago....nice job!
Hello Litotes, I am writing to you as you seem somewhat active and may even reply to this message. Like soooo many other sites, How to turn it ON and OFF is completely missing. The site can be the best thing ever but if people cant even turn the thing on... And of course there is zero indication to who to turn to. Thus I choose you. Can you help either inform me how to start a game (I have been to the page that shows the games and even gone into the description of the game but nowhere is there a button to join the game), or please send me the address or name of an admin or some such please. Also please use my email as I already dont trust the sites ability to function well. [email protected]
Actually, you cannot 'trust' my player flag, you were right to wonder. While I am ethnic Ukrainian, I am from the USA - I changed my flag here many years ago as an expression of support.

Thanks for the tip, but despite my poor choice of tactics, I was able win the Italy game. See you around ;) "Just as a general tip, if someone congratulates one player don't do his job for him :) You might have stood a chance if you had gone for Chele on your last turn and stayed clear of me, as it was he got an easy elim. Not that I mind. I had no chance anyway."
