The notifications seem to be great, but are too short lived in my opinion.  I see a notice for my turn and before I can click on it, it fades away.

I saw these before I read this thread, and applaud the behavior.  Good page placement, easy to read and know what they were in the 5 seconds they were up, and then gone before they were annoying.  Very nice.

Could it be that any action on the page causes them to disappear in less than 5 seconds because I think that that is why they are appearing so short to me?  There have too few for me to really nail down if they appear for 5 seconds or not.

I tweaked it to 10 seconds. They will disappear only if you click on a link to go to a different page, otherwise they are on a 10s timer.

I added a separate setting for realtime / regular turn time notifications.

new turn timer doesn't take into account the 'invited' games. otherwise seems to be working ok

I really like this system...actually as a player who rarely uses it!  It is enough to grab my attention should I want to join but not so distracting/in-the-way that it diminishes the site experience.

According to tom's link to check when the turn timer breaks...they're all Toto's games! its all his fault, he's hackin and breakin the site on purpose!

Turn counter flipped to 4 but have 0 really.  Possibly occurred when I joined a tournament ( http://www.wargear.net/tournaments/view/324 )?

By they way, why should Hugh have any say in lightning games, he see's lightning or "real time" games and his luck stats go up by like 28928189934, its ridiculous, i think all of his wins against me in those games should be turned to losses and credited to my win column.  He knows when I wanna have a nice short arm wrestling match and turns it into a 4 hour long rubber match to the death.  Raise Hugh're hand if Hugh're with me.

The bug should now be fixed with inaccurate turn counts being shown - weathertop / Alpha let me know if you see it again. If not we should be good to go live with it this week.

Sorry, I didn't know my turn count being off was related to the notifications.  One thing I saw a couple of days ago was double notifications.  That is, each notification was being duplicated (both copies appearing one on top of the other).  I haven't seen it today and maybe that was a browser thing.

i hadn't seen anything like that yet.

checking profiles doesn't seem to break it anymore, so that's a good thing!

I stopped getting emails to tell me its my turn.  Where is the option to turn it back on?
