I just found out it's possible to invite players to a tournament that you yourself have not joined, and even a tournament to which you yourself have not been invited. You can even invite yourself!

I wouldn't really classify this as a bug, per se, as it just came in rather handy for me in trying to bring a certain tournament to a certain player's attention, but I thought it was curious.

As I am curious too, when I get invited (yes, it happens to me) I would like to know who invited me. Just by curiosity. May be I will discover I invited myself and I can't remember having done it.

Isn't this info in the Tournament Invite email?

You are right Yertle, one more time. My request was because I always join from the Tournaments page and I don't bother opening the e-mails. So it's fine the way it is now :-)

 Not that sure. I don't like playing against someone like me : a poor player believing he is better than others and pretending to know what they should have done if they were good players...

Maybe so.  But you'd be evenly matched!

Yertle - I already get the my-turn e-mails regularly enough to not need the invite e-mails.  So to save myself the work of deleting those 1 or 2, I just turned them off from my preferences.  That's why I'd still prefer to have it available online.

It's like the previous request that I made that (I believe) is in the future upgrades list - end-of-game ranking calculations available online after the game is complete (like as a last page of the game history).  It's nice to have the information available after the fact, even if you don't get those e-mails.

Or maybe that is just my OCD getting the better of me...

I recently turned the emails off too :P

As for the end of game ranking calculations, those have been implemented (although were retro-active to all games).  Ie Ranking Messages row on the Game View page ( http://www.wargear.net/games/view/70461 )

As always - WG takes care of its brethren.

So does Toto's request from this thread seem out of line then?
Seems like it could be posted at the top of the tourney join page.
A "Join Tournament" button and a "Invited By" space.

It would be quite easy to do. Gets a bit messy though when multiple people invite you to the same tournament...

could just display the first one. emails can do the rest?

I didn't think this was possible, or at least I don't believe there are multiple emails are there?
