Antastic is a very good board for large groups. Lots of continents so even 16 don't have to compete for a starting position. Enough choke points that when the game progresses to a few players, continents are reasonably defendable.
I very much recommend trying it with total fog. It is lots of fun even 1vs1, as the fog can be a pretty good equalizer when otherwise 1st players have a much higher chance of winning on most boards.
This is a classic board from Warfish that continues to be very enjoyable. The only downside is that it isn't really suitable for fewer than 6-8 players.
I've been on warfish and wargear for a couple years now, and i've always had at least a couple of games going on in this board in one form or another. With my short attention span, that is a testament to a great board.
This board is a classic at this point, and for me, always fun. It does work better for larger groups, but is very versatile for all types of play. Teams, fog, whatever. The bonuses are balanced, and you can have epic battles over choke-points.
I look forward to many more exciting games from this board.
Good map. Very unique sytle of a risk board. My only complaint, isn't really a complaint, but a matter of note; with so many players this thing can take a while to do. Overall a very good board to play.
Probably ideal for epicly large games, though those tend to take months and people drop out. Good with fog, some tunnels are arbitrary. Not that great for 1v1, going first and starting placement tend to have a bigger effect on the outcome.
great board! Looks nice, plays smoothly. Like the transfer to all territories (shakes things up a little). Many possibilities, from 1v1 to large team games. A fun board for sure!
There is something about this board that makes me want to yawn. I don't know what it is since I like big maze boards but just into every game I start to wish surrenders weren't held against you. The board is nicely made. My enjoyment factor = 0 , quality of design and workability = 10 the average of which is well: Average
