This is not a board for those who like to build up and hide behind high walls. You better take action or watch as armies grow around you and eventually lead to your demise.
It's refreshing to find boards that differ from the norm. I suggest you try to play it as a team game, you will love it.
Make sure you read the board description before you try to play, or you'll be very confused. But I love the change in game play. Sometimes I wish I had more than two transfers... but I'll take what I can get.
Not sure what Michkov is talking about. The board design is creative and colorful. Totally new take on vanilla risk.
Gameplay can run crazy like a popular uprising sweeping you to victory and a new world order. But, holding choke points and stocking troops in the major border countries until you have overwhelming force will have a higher probability of success.
Just like how we deal with anarchy/revolution in the real world... The layout, design, production dynamics, and game play all justify the name. Love it or hate it the board lives up to it's own ideal.
1) Its the standard board just ugly(its a matter of taste but still the whole board looks messy and confusing)
2) The reinforcement mode makes for a very tedious game. Maybe if the layout were different it would work but the normal Earth map has too many dead ends for this
Love this board! it's such a simple concept that creates an entire new game. I love it when you can quickly read a board description and fully understand the board. Then it takes quite a bit of thought to plan out how you'll play the board. Lots of fun, props for the alternate image too!
