If you want to compete in the Westerns/Old West competition please post a link to your map here. A week or so after January 1, I'll make a post in the general forums announcing the contest and explaining how it works, how to vote etc. If you are not ready yet, let me know that and I'll hold off a bit to give you a chance to get it done.
Here is my board, but I still need to send it to review:
There Will Be Blood
Looks nice Raptor! My first thought was to do a shooting arcade, but I didn't think I could pull it off.
If you can give me a few days I may have a map together.
Cramchackle asked for an extension for the holidays, and no one objected, so I told him I'd wait a bit. This contest is about having fun and fostering a sense of community to me, and not about the money, so I would rather bend the rules a bit to get as many entries as possible.
Does everyone think they can be done by the 15th?
If I'm not done by the 15th, I'll respectfully finish on my own time and release the board when I gurt danked feel like it.
If you are still going through board review on the 15th, please be sure to set your boards 'Public Beta' flag so that I can link to the dev version in the announcement post and players can play games on it. Yertle can modify the link in the announcement once the board goes live.
I'm close but not sure if I'm going to make it yet or not. I'm about 3/4 done with the graphics, but I'm having a 3 hour commute to work this week so it's limiting my free time.

Done and done.

Yuck. I hate commuting. When I interviewed for my present job, they asked me why I wanted to work there. After all the typical stuff, I said, "but one of the main reasons, is that the office is only 10 minutes from my house."
Lookin' good gents!

Yeah it sucks but it's only Mon, Tues, Wed. and a couple days spread out over the next few weeks and I bill half my billable rate for my travel so I'm not complaining.

Interesting. I just did some consulting work for the first time ever and it involved a minor bit of travel. I wasn't sure if I should charge for it or not, and it wasn't clear from our consulting agreement. Since it was minor I just didn't charge anything, but half rate sounds reasonable.
Oh that's for my full time gig, but I do the same when I do consulting on the side also. Half rate is pretty standard for IT consulting or a flat fee trip charge.
I'll hopefully be done and playtesting before the end of the day. More info to come.
Just make sure to set your beta flag to on and post a link here.

So here's my entry. It needs a description and I'm not sure if I want to use those cards or not yet.
I guess I had linked to the designer in the past, but here's the viewer link:
