I've had a couple of reports of people being unable to access the site over the last few days - is anyone else experiencing this? The logs don't seem to show any problems but I've added some external monitoring to see if I can pick up anything.
I haven't had any issues.
I had this two or three days ago on and off, but assumed it was on my end.
for some reason ever since you changed the domain host (or whatever you did http://www.wargear.net/forum/showthread/608/Site_outage) my internet provider will some times say that there is connection issue. the rest of the internet works fine but i cant connect to wargear. i had no probles before and now i get locked out once or twice a week. i usally reset my modum and wait about 1/2 a hour then im good to go. it happend this worning around 7:15 (EST)and i had to go to work so i dont know if its working now.
I am having a problem when I try to visit http://www.wargear.net for the first time on any given day from a new computer. My first attempt at accessing the site tells me the site is down/doesn't exist. My second attempt takes me to the log in page. Using a bookmark in Firefox.
So... boot up the computer at work, bookmark to wargear.net, get told it doesn't exist, bookmark to wargear.net, works fine. Go home, get on home computer, bookmark to wargear.net, get told it doesn't exist, bookmark to wargear.net, works fine. Rinse, repeat.
Both computers are being shutdown and restarted at some point in between me being at work/home.
Zero issues for me.
Start -> Run -> type:
ipconfig /flushdns
Might work, can't hurt.
Sure, next you'll be telling me to alt+f4

Thanks all.. could be a problem with the new DNS provider. 3 people have reported sporadic problems accessing the site but the logs say there's no problem with the server. I'll look into it, may have to change DNS provider again :(
Just to throw my hat into the ring, I had some problems accessing the site earlier in the week. Sorry, can't remember the day...I thought it was on my end, perhaps not?

Couple of other things to check:
1. Ping wargear.net from a command prompt - the IP address should be 64.131.82.229
2. Check third party connectivity - http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/wargear.net
I've also added some automated external monitoring to alert me in case of any outages, we'll see if that picks up anything.
I've made some changes to Domain registration - this should hopefully resolve the problems some of you are having.
I've switched from hosting the name server on WarGear itself to an external provider - this will hopefully make it more reliable.
I can access the site, but it is incredibly slow right now - taking turns and browsing the forum.

KrocK - great, glad to hear that.
Andernut - I'll keep an eye on it, it's an odd time for the server to be slow as that's usually a very quiet time in terms of site activity. I was on the site about an hour after that and all was fine.
