...we played a tournament in real time, and it was awesome?

Let's do it again!
Awww.... the mouse over image function works in the chat before you send it, but not on the forum page.
I was just thinking of that tourney, and how much fun it was, count me in!
I'm up for another tourney Nygma.
Sounds good but a bit dependent on time zone and board. Wouldn't want to try and learn a new board in real time in the middle of night :)
I think we tried to plan a game in advance. It was tough since we didn't know who would be there. If we could schedule a day and then get RSVPs or something, we could vote in the RSVP for the map? Either we come up with a potential list, then vote on the RSVP, or we make the list using RSVP suggestions and narrow from there.
i'd be game...seems like we had a list of potential boards from last go round.
It was a lot of fun. If I am free count me in!
Don't leave me out! I had a blast last time!
I use the following site when I need a group of people to vote on something, could be useful for picking a day and a board:
Problem here is getting it all organized in the best way. Say the majority agrees the best time of day to start is the same as last time, if so I'm out because it started 4 AM my local time and I can't do that even during a holiday. If so I do not want to have my vote count for which board to play on, I'd leave that to the participants.

I appreciate the sentiment, but I'm of the opinion that the simpler the better, in other words, everyone who's interested votes on day and time and boards to play. Maybe we end up coming up with a time that works for you to join, Litotes.
Even those who say they will be there may not show up, and we might snag a few people who hadn't seen this thread. Besides, last time it took us at least half an hour (at the appointed time) to decide on the boards to play, which meant we ended up losing some playing time.
How about we start suggesting some boards and days and times on this thread, I'll compile them into OpaVote.org and we vote on the options? Last time we played an 8 or10 person tourney (one on one games), and at least a couple games on multiplayer boards, I thought that was a good combo
I'll suggest some boards to get some ideas out there:
Multiplayer games: King of the Mountain, Titans of Italy, Resource, Pangea-Rise of the Chimp, Pirates of the Caribbean, Civil War
Tourney: Ten-Propagate, Seven, Antastic, Battle of Bladesnburg, Battle of Waterloo, Iwo Jima, Go-Geared
Possible days of week and times (no dates yet):
Friday 10pm EST (7pm California, 4am Norway)
Saturday 9am EST (6am California, 3pm Norway)
Sunday 9am EST (6am California, 3pm Norway)
yeah we ended up playing Spy v Spy last time (http://www.wargear.net/tournaments/view/2165). that was the suggested game pre-getting together, but just took us a half hour to agree to it -- and to get the the requisite 8 players.
other board suggestions:
chutes and ladders
Kropulu sector
rescue
mall of the dead
moon base
time suggestions for me will depend on the date(s). i think we could pull something together for the wknd after the 4th (july 7-9). the upcoming holiday wknd i'm unavailable.
another note about what made it fun (in my opinion) was having the google group hangout going. i know we had at least one or two players that didn't have a gmail account and didn't participate. i think they missed out!
i haven't played with the built-in chat system in quite some time; but i think they got rid of the 'private chat room' option. if i'm wrong, maybe that's a potential (you know, since it's part of the site...)

Agreed
I'm not available the weekend of July 7-9, but can definitely do the weekend after (7/14-7/16)
