I have some friends who I will beat 90% of the time. It would be great if there was a way to give them an extra 5 units when we start the game so that the games would be more exciting.
Just skip or agree to skip a turn or two.
I guess that would work ok, but I'd rather have some finer control than that. Plus that feels like I'm throwing the game.
A handicap is a handicap. If you agree up front to the terms, it shouldn't matter.
Just play with your left hand.
lmao
Agree with Ozy.
Handicapping is a cool way to keep things interesting in games of players with different skill levels.
I used to play private games with my kids a lot and would regularly skip turns/attack neutrals/makes dumb plays just to give them a chance. Would have been a lot more fun to give them a better starting position.
It could be something like giving each player an extra number of armies equal to the difference between their ranking score and the max ranking score of the players, divided by 100.
