In the following lines of XML, continent ids are assigned:

<continent continentid="7070089" boardid="4762"... 
<continent continentid="7070088" boardid="4762"...
<continent continentid="7070087" boardid="4762"...

If I want to create new continents/factories in my text editor, how do I know what to input for a continentid?

1. Can I leave it blank and it gets assigned?
2. Can I make it anything I want?
3. Should I assume and make the then next one 7070090?
4. Something else I haven't thought of.

I think I just leave that blank when I create new continents from whole cloth.

EDIT:  I don't mean I leave an empty string as the value, I mean I leave off that XML attribute from the continent element entirely.

hmm, interesting - i've created my own id's when generating (another use of excel and column mode in ultraedit)

I have just cut and paste the continents and leave the ids whatever they were. The duplicate ids don't seem to affect anything.
