Playing a game that has been underway since last May.

We're solidly locked into a stalemate and have been for months. So I am wondering if anyone knows the current record?

On Tos (Warfish), there was a game on my "King of the Mountains" map that had 10's of thousands of armies on single territories.  That's one on the reasons why, when I ported it here, I created the territory limits that decreased as you climb.

Didn't know that, M. I've avoided playing it just for that reason. I had a private game on WF that ran about a year before we terminated.

Yeah, It's a different game.  Really, it was a the result of comments by the review board here.  They were familiar with the WF version and suggested limits.  We settled on 2^4, 2^3, .. but others were considered. 

I'm still not positive I got it right.  I wonder that higher and more diverse limits, like 3^4, 3^3, .. would also have solved the problem, while also having the added advantage of making it such  that holding high ground is even tougher, but games would probably be longer.

13 months

Most of my games are private games with a group of friends.  We commonly vote to end games once they reach the one year mark.  We've probably done that 5-10 times.
