I think we need a button to display factory settings in board explorer.. Currently (unless I'm missing something, which is certainly possible) there doesn't seem to be a way to determine how factories are set up on a board where they're enabled. The Squirrels of Suburbia map is where I ran into this issue.
Also, I don't think there is a way in the Board Explorer to see the initial setup of the board.
I think for that and the factories you have to go into the designer, which is a pain, and probably very confusing for anyone who hasn't designed a map before.
Also, I don't think people using free accounts have access to the designer.
You do, it's just not obvious.
Click on the board name to go to the board's main page and click on the blue arrow next to "Design Information". This is under the "Create Game" button.
Maybe access to the designer should be something more obvious than an obscure and tiny little icon on the game page. As it is, most players probably don't even know how to access the board page where the slightly more obvious link is.
I think it should remain semi-hidden, as the Designer can be confusing and it ultimately shouldn't be the route to view Board information.
+1 Yertle. All relevant information should be discoverable through the board explorer.

..then how do they find the initial set-up?
IIRC, you can see it in the flash player->board, but it's not in the native->board explorer equivalent.
If that's the case, then the fact that the functionality is missing from the native player should be considered a bug.
Yeah! Spam bot quoted me!
