    The outcome of factories in SG is potentially much different than in Turn-Based. Here is my understanding.

    If Player A controls a factory that Auto Captures Territory Z, and Player B controls a different factory that also Auto-Captures Z, the name of the factory comes into play and the player with the factory that captures last (determined by it's spelling), ends up controlling the territory on the next turn.

    If this is true, then here is my suggestion/request:

    Give a list of options for  factory implementation order:

    1. Alpha/num
    2. Player with most/least units
    3. Random
    4. Player order
    5. ..others

    Random seems like it might be the most difficult to code, but it is really the one I want the most.

    I want to put this on the Designer Wants thread, but I figured I'd put it here first to see if anyone else is interested, if there are any amendments or changes to make,  ..and if it's even possible.

    I like random or least bonus for going first...I think we already have the latter.

    I'm not sure about that.  I've never created a SG scenario much less a board, but I'm working on one, and my sense is that what you are talking about is order of play ..not order of factory implementation.

    while we are talking about it.  I'm curious what the ordering for Alpha/num is.  Is it based on ascii character value, or something else?  Tom said that any character is valid for territory name - I assume it is the same for continent names.
