So, according to our schedule, we are supposed to have the next theme decided by the end of the year.
Last time, theme voting used the same system as voting for maps (i.e. ranked 1st, 2nd, & 3rd for 3, 2, & 1 points). If anyone has suggestions on how they would like the voting to be done differently, this is the thread to voice your opinion, otherwise I guess it worked ok last time.
Anyone can suggest a theme for voting, just add it to this list (Theme Suggestions):

In case you are curious, here is how the voting went for theme #2:

I added a sheet to that bottom link where we can track votes for theme #3.
Voted
I was going to call a vote later (probably this weekend). I figured I'd give people a chance to suggest themes in this thread (but of course you can vote early if you want).
One change for the voting I was thinking could be cool, would be to count the vote twice for anyone who completed a map in the previous competition. I thought that would be a nice reward for participating in the contest, and plus it seems the people making the maps should get more of a say in the theme. Any thoughts on that? Hrm. just realized that we won't know who has finished a map yet by the time we vote on this next theme, so maybe scratch that idea...
While I'm thinking about it...
Machines
Math
Steam punk
How about changing "Numbers" to "Math and Numbers".
Go figure all the mathletes on this site want a "Math" gameboard :P

There was already a Mathematics & science. I changed that to Math & numbers, got rid of the numbers by itself, and moved science into it's own category.
fantasy - skyrim map anyone
I added 'fantasy worlds' to the theme list, with a link to a wikipedia list of fantasy worlds. Skyrim isn't on that wikipedia page, but of course it would be fine.
i would vote for a fanatsy world option
Soon you will have your chance. Probably end up with 10 middle earth maps (not that there is anything wrong with that!)
