Open question: What is the longest time a tournament you have played in has taken to finish, which board was it on and how many players?
I played in an Antastic tourney on Warfish with 256 players, 16 per game, 8 advance, double elimination.
It took 4 years to finish. At one point I had to wait almost 2 years without a single game for the loser's bracket to catch up to the winner's bracket.
That's why I don't play in tournaments anymore.

There are some that drag out, but tournaments here generally go a lot faster. Especially if mutiple player shave there settings to play mutiple rounds at once. Most tournaments started are usually not elimination which helps.

yeah tourney's here do NOT last near as long as they did on ToS (that OTHER site).
some of the huge tourneys have taken 6-12 mo; but most of the ones now are 32-64 people and don't last a month.
But I can change,
if I have to,

For anyone who hasn’t figured out how to play multiple tournament games in parallel, go to settings-> preferences->tournament preferences.
Choosing “unlimited” helps tournaments move quickly.

i (intentionally) don't do that; however, i'm pretty active/responsive and will - when needed - open up for multiple games to keep things moving.
