On the topic of tournaments, is there a reason for there never being seven-day-turn tournaments? Is the only reason that it'll take too long?

I've seen a couple of 7-day tournaments opened, didn't join them, not sure if they started or timed out but probably the latter.

I was thinking it would probably be because playing the tournament would take forever at a week per turn.

That would only be the case if EVERYBODY will take a week.
And you don't need 7-day tournaments to get the same result. Just have a few paying members going on vacation one after the other, and the entire tournament can grind to a halt.
