How do I which one the Manifest Destiny tournament is?
There is no little green arrow thingy in the options so it is turn-based.
..of course.
Related question: If someone is looking to create a game, how can they tell whether it's Simulgear or Turn-Based? Do they have to read the "about"? I was just about to try out Rockem' Sockem Robots, and I just happened to read the about. The only other way I can see how you would know is by checking out the dice mods on the border views.
Rules has the information too.
Really should be a row in the Board Settings table of the About tab that says Gameplay (similar to the table on Game Info pages has it).

I think it's clear enough when you're joining a game, but if you're not paying attention you could easily start an SG game without realizing what you're getting into.
BTW, how about creating links for all of the gameplay icons in the Options column on the Join Game pages? Link them to relevant FAQ's or some other appropriate page in the help section.

Added.

Good idea - Yertle what do you think are the best Help links to use?
Turn Based: http://www.wargear.net/help/display/Playing%20a%20game%20-%20Turn%20Based
SimulGear: http://www.wargear.net/help/display/Playing%20a%20game%20-%20SimulGear
Those two are intended to give basics and some depth to each gameplay without going into the crazy complicated scenarios. They may be updated in the future, but I don't see/have any plans to delete them or make any significant changes (so the plan is them to be there for the long haul).

Fog: http://www.wargear.net/help/display/Fog
Turn-Timer: http://www.wargear.net/help/display/Boot%20Types
Really, the above Help page linked to above should be about the Turn-Timer (a positive) as opposed to Boot Types (a negative).

Changed! http://www.wargear.net/help/display/Turn-Timer
(I do have to update a few existing links still.)
Thanks for the additional link, I didn't read the post as thorough as I could have :p

Is there a way to see which maps are SimulGear, all in one list? Alternately, is there a way I can make any map play this way?

Not that I know of ..yet.

As I understand it, not unless the designer creates a separate map for normal play.
SG maps don't use Risk dice; all borders are designated with percentage dice.

I know there are some other discussions on how to manage the growing list of games, I think turn based vs Simulgear is a logical highest level seperation? So when you go to create a game you would first choose turn based or simulgear, and then be given a list of games?

Do you mean the Board List page or the Create Game page? I agree there needs to be something more obvious on both to show that for example you are picking a board or scenario that is SimulGear / Turn Based.
A board list update is in the works (I'm working on Luck stats atm)

Yay! Luck stats! Actually, both of these will be welcome additions.
The question is: would you be more or less willing to play a game against a "lucky" person?
Nah. The question is, did I lose because of my stupid bumble-headed moves, or did I just have bad rolls?
