I don't suppose there is any way to change the board settings on Warfare? Tom or anyone please advise if it's possible to set up the game to select your own territories upon initial placement rather than random selection. That would make the game much more strategic and by far more interesting. Thanks, DP.

I'm pretty sure there is a Designer feature that let's the board's designer create a scenario where players take turns picking territories. You would have to contact a board's designer and ask them to create such a scenario.

Unfortunately, while DP's suggestion is a good one (I think many would be in favour), it's probably unlikely that the designer (Toaster) will respond.... last game played was in 2013, theoretically last visit in 2019.

Yep, just pick the "Turn Territory and Simul Unit" option. There's a few other variations in there, including simultaneous territory selection and initial unit placement (which works kind of like a silent auction if you're not familiar with the mechanic).
