is it possible to change the type of border between directions? Ie. attack from "A" to
B" as a standard attack border but B to A is Artillery?
I believe so, you just have to add two 1-Way borders, one for A-B as default, then one B-A as Artillery.
A cure? Three simple molecules? Building for the small? Compassion for children?

Yertle is correct.
Adding modifiers to such set ups usually results in some heartburn, for me at least, though. Sometimes it tells me I have an invalid border selected, sometimes it tells me I can't attack in this direction so I can't modify it, and sometimes it works. /shrug.
Also, you can't have a border that is both view-only and fortify-only, which is a pain sometimes.
I can relate to Cram's point. That is qhat made me ask is I was getting invalid responses even though it seemed to be working. I'll keep plugging away.

If it fails once, I can usually get it to work the second time by saving and then reloading the board designer.

Make sure you do the saving part. Losing progress is the suck.
