I just tried to create my first board and I'm having some serious problems!  I went through all the options and settings for the game and I was feeling confident.  Then I went to play it with a buddy and the map won't load.  Something about a fill error?  Is it a computer issue (I'm pretty sure I have the latest version of flash) or a map issue?

Can anybody help me understand where I'm goofing it all up?  Thanks!!

Could you post a link to designer for the board, that might help. =:0)

http://www.wargear.net/boards/designer/4085     So I can now see the board if I launch the Native Player, but all I can do is add troops to the "imc."

I think I may be in over my head trying to create a board.  yikes.

you still have color in the board image and no borders in the fill image. see if i can find my step by step instructions for you.

EDIT: here's a quick tutorial for an image a bit more advanced than yours, but principals still apply:
http://www.wargear.net/forum/showthread/2336p1/board_helpadvice post #4...guess i should make a how to one for an 'easy' board. (and then maybe having it posted in a faq? it took me FOREVER to find this and i knew what i posted...)

If you cleaned up the board image (zooming in will reveal artifacts), making the colors solid, you don't even need a fill image-- a simple board will do.

It should be possible to play WG boards in real-time ..without the wait, regardless of how many are playing.

If you do use weathertop's fill image, you will need transparency (or holes) in the board where you want the players color to come through.

yeah, i assumed the easiest for him to do was use that fill image, make a copy and delete the white, add the text and maybe some doors to the room/hallway (or whatever the attack borders are going to be) and save that as the board image. but didn't want to do all the work for him. Wink

Well I made the first one with the paint program that came on my computer, but I just downloaded paint.net.  The more I mess around with this, the more impressed I am with everybody's ability to make incredible maps! Wow.

Once you figure out how to use "layers" in paint.net - a world of possibilities opens up.

Psst... Don't tell anyone here, but I can barely draw a decent stick man.
