How can you tell? I'm in 15.. so I really imagine its a lot higher than that!

Without a chart or ticker from tom there's no way to tell, but we might be able to make a pretty reasonable guestimate using available stats and making a few assumptions and reasonable estimates.

On the charts page, it looks like over the last seven days, about 200 games were started each day.  To make this easier, we'll have to assume that membership is static, which would make the number of games started equal to the number of games finished on any given day.  So all we need to know is the average length of a game.  Unfortunately I'm currently unable to bring up the charts for WarGear Warfare, so it's going to be harder to estimate, but I'll give it a try anyway.

For most any board, there is a high percentage of 2 and 3 player games that only lasts 1 day, so this may throw off my estimate.

As a rule, games that have more players take longer.  Some games take 100s of days.  I'm going to estimate that the average number of players per game is around 5 (My average is 5.2).  From here I looked at the peaks of a few charts of popular boards at 5 player games..

Colossal Crusade looks like ~25 days.
Antastic ~30

Micromission I looked at 3 player games cause they are more common. ~21
Mobs of NY ~20+

So it's looking like the average game length is about 25 days.

25 X 200 = 5000.  But remember, there are a LOT of 2 player games that played very quirky, not to mention lightning games.  On the other hand, membership isn't static.  Regardless, I'll lop off 30% = 3500 games at any given moment, which seems a bit low to me.

Aiken:  Do you mean just for one person, or total games on the site?

Translation: how many active games are being played?  Or how many people are online and making turns at any given moment?  Or how many games are individual players playing at any given time?

1,414 Live games at the moment. Should be pretty easy to add as a chart.

On the other hand, it's over 90 times your estimate, while about 40% of mine.
