The new instant notification system is now live. By default this will be configured to popup an instant notification message in the top right hand corner of your screen when a new realtime game has been created on the site or if it is your turn in a game. Your turn counter will also be automatically updated when it is your turn in a game.
If you'd prefer not to see these messages then you can turn them off by going this settings page: http://www.wargear.net/settings/notifications
This is the best thing to happen since SimulGear.
Which is like my favorite thing ever.
This was definitely a very good thing, I appreciate it very much. There are actually real-time games being played now.
:D
Great... I will also be adding a notification option so you are alerted only when games on your favorite boards are being started soon.

WHAT?! It's going to know when games are going to be started soon!!!
The thing with adding more growling things is to watch out for stuff getting lost/ignored (ie Real Time games).
"But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first." Matthew 19:30 - Good strategy for life and WarGear!

good point. might have to put different background colors or something to differentiate them. i'm having a hard time with a glance to tell if its my turn or a new realtime game. tho a my turn just showed up with a clock on it, which i haven't noticed before (could have been there already for all i know tho)...i'll pay more attention in the near future.
What about adding an optional bell (as you are not always watching your screen) ? This would be very needed when it's my turn in a realtime game.
Like Weathertop mentioned, it could be a different bell if it's my turn or a new realtime game, or my turn in a real time game.
Good idea.

sounds familiar! ;^P
It was a better idea this time around. Clearly Toto writes more authoritatively
it's alright i know you don't like me anyway
There is nothing you can do against this, Weathertop. Thanks Tom for taking into account MY idea.
story of my life. don't worry i'm used to it ;^)
tho he could make up for it by using this sound bite...i use it for my incoming email at work.
