Board Description~War of the Ring~ ~{~ FFA | Player Choice ~}~ By Kjeld ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The varied peoples and monsters of Middle Earth duke it out for supremacy over all the land. Eight different factions, each with a unique starting location, are available. In this scenario, simultaneous territory selection and unit placement are on. Players can choose among all the land territories with a bonus of 0, 1, or 2 -- every other territory starts neutral. Players get 15 units to place during simultaneous unit placement, and another 15 to place on their first turn. Normal bonuses are not granted until the second turn. Each territory has maximum unit count equal to 10 + 5 x bonus (for example, a territory of bonus 2 would have a unit max of 10 + 5 x 2 = 20). Unmarked and water territories can hold unlimited units, but grant no bonus.
