I would like the option to have restriction on where new turn units can be placed. I would imagine the programming would be similar to Capital nodes... call them reinforcement nodes or whatever. The default would be for all territories to be "true"... but when you are setting up a scenario, you could limit this to >= 1 for each side.
Think of how cool this would make AnA in BAO play... think of how awesome this would be for "island hoping" naval battle.
My 2 isk...
What?
Interesting idea. Give people a limited number of "supply depots" such that if all a player's depots are captured he can't add new troops to the board until he captures another. Key positions on the gameboard can be made harder to attack by placing them far from the normal supply lines. This could make for some interesting combat strategy.
I need to write down my big list of ideas that I've been meaning to do for a while now so I can get credit for the good ideas like this one.
This option would be almost essential to make a decent D-Day map.
And would be the key addition to making a true Diplomacy adaptation (assuming the 1 vs 1 army problem can ever be solved).

Yay! +1 for Diplomacy. However, I don't see a way around the 1v1 problem other than having a newly-programmed different version of play. Maybe I'm wrong? I hope so...
I had a decent system for Diplomacy with Blind at Once play on Warfish, but the stupid thing wouldn't allow you to kill 1 troop with only 1 troop attacking. I'm pretty sure it was a bug in the system that needed to be fixed, but we had no administrator to do it at the time.
Nice idea - I sort of already had this on the ToDo list as 'producer countries' but setting it via the Scenario editor is a better way of achieving the same thing + more.

I am so excited for what the new incarnation of Axes & Allies can be.
I should start putting it together now...
