I just realized that I was being displayed online in game chats and on my profile. I would have assumed that if we mark ourselves as offline in the site-chat, that this would carry throughout. In my opinion, if we have ourselves 'offline' in site-chat, then it is usually because we don't want people to be aware when we are online, or try to start interactions with us that would be expecting immediate responses.
For example, with gmail chat, if you mark yourself as being offline, you don't show up to others as "online, but unavailable to chat" (as Wargear does), but you are simply "offline" altogether.
I think this is something that could be addressed.

Can you try using the 'Invisible' setting instead?
