Everytime I type in my user/pass I always check Log me in automatically in the future.  It works fine if I'm accessing it within a short period of time, but I always need to retype my user/pass if I have turned my computer off. 

This issue is unique to this site, other sites/forums allow me to stay logged in until I have cleared my cookies.

It's a multiple computer thing. If you log in from a different computer it resets the login on the first one.

IMHO this is a bug that should be fixed, not a security feature. This is an online game not a banking site =]

That explains it - and I agree :)

Point taken... although you just wait till those pesky 419 scammers get hold of your login details and take your turns for you. Then you'll be sorry.

The way I play they couldn't do any worse...

Since I'm still fairly new to the site, I'm still learning how different it is from WF. This is one of those differences. However, I loved being able to stay logged into WF on my home computer without being logged off when I logged in at work. So...any update on this yet?

It's on the list of things to fix but it involves quite a lot of work and is quite high risk.

Authentication systems are dangerous things to mess with, it's very easy to break something and lock people out (or let the wrong people in!). This one I wrote several years ago so it's undergone lots of testing, I accept though it's probably a bit restrictive for a game playing website.

So in other words I will change it, but probably not that soon, sorry.

No worries tom. I'm just glad you know what you're doing in order to create & maintain this site! It's awesome & I haven't even gone into the board creation process yet! :D

Signatures are Premium Only (from what I can tell), although I thought if you lost Premium and then got it back that your signature was kept/returned to what it was...guess that could be wrong though.

i thought so too, but it's obviously wrong! i'll fix it later.
