Yep that's the way it works weathertop... essentially at the conclusion of each tournament game the engine checks each game in the draw to see if it can start it. If either player is already in another game with their setting set to 'Off' then it won't start it.
I thought this way offered more flexibility, when it was originally discussed there were some who wanted it and some who didn't so it seemed logical to make it a player option.
I would have been surprised if the idea hadn't been discussed. I'm just late to the party and for some reason it struck me as odd that it wasn't the norm.
At least I now know that it's possible. I guess that giving individual players the option should speed things up a little, but if the thingy default is "Off", I wonder that the time difference is marginal, not to mention that that most people won't even know the option exists.
Also late to this party. But in my defense this discussion about tournaments is under "Forum feature requests"
My bad. Apparently I don't know the difference between a forum feature and a general feature. ..or is it a gameplay feature?

Any luck with the Read/Unread icons on the Main Forum page?

Just curious, that still the same?
Suggestion: Can hitting Tab from a New Thread title go to the Message area? I think this is how it worked before the recent update, now it Tabs to the text editing stuff. Thanks!
Yertle: I really don't know what we'd be doing if tom didn't start WG
Yertle: scary to think about :p
