I love the idea of an xmas board, but gameplay is not good. no/low fog leads to interminable crab games. About 75% of my games on this board ended in votes to terminate. I feel like there is potential here, but definitely still needs some tweaking.
This board is fantastic. Graphics look great. Gameplay is top notch - lots of fun, and feels like an old west neighborhood battle, but not so complicated that you need to be an expert to understand how to play.
This is a very straightforward board, but gameplay is clear and fun. Nothing too exciting, but a good board for beginners or for when you are in the mood for a fairly simple map.
The farm/city dynamic allows players to easily see how much continents are worth from the map. Ports & ice camps work well to vary the way borders work, and provide the perfect amount of choke points to keep things moving.
I seem to recall seeing other variations of this map designed for larger & smaller groups of players, but they are not available here. An addition of some more scenarios to better accommodate different game sizes would probably add another star. For example, a scenario with much fewer starting neutrals might be better for larger groups of players.
A very innovative board that shows the range of wargear's map and rule system. It took me a few games to get the hang of this board, and I still feel like I am learning something new after 10+ games - a sign of a great board!
This is a fantastic board. Gameplay is solid and a lot of fun. The combination of fog, abandon, and ranged attack combines for a different than normal but very fun style of play which matches up very well with the theme - hoping around the board reminds me of flying.
I have only played this board with 3 players, so it is possible that problems will arise when a larger group plays this map.
