Check the history at moves 2973-2974. I was skipped after 15 minutes and 13 seconds in a non-lightning game at 13:05 this afternoon.

I'm very concerned that this may have happened in other games as well.

I think it would be worth looking back to 13:05 (that's USA/Pacific time... just over 4 hours ago now) to see what went wrong, and in case you need to revert some boards and let people know what's going on. Better to catch this one ASAP before things progress further in any affected games.

At this stage it looks like there were 23 games affected. It was ironically due to some code put in place to protect from boots occurring during site downtimes.

I'll be going through the games to see what the best course of action is for each game. Essentially my options are:

1. If nothing has happened since the turn skip or boot, undo it
2. Else revert to backup state of game (only daily backups currently available)
3. If the above would result in multiple turns being missed, terminate the game

This has highlighted the need to have more regular backups of game states, I'm going to setup a scheduled job to back these up on an hourly basis to make it easier to recover from this sort of problem.

Apologies if you were affected by this.

Actually slight change of plan... games where turns have been taken will be reverted to the point of the skip / boot occurring some time this afternoon / evening so please take no further action in those games. I will post a message in the game chat to that effect.

Games where no action has been taken will be adjusted back to their pre-skip state over the next 30 mins or so.
