On your next turn you could toggle the snapshot board to see things as you left it.
Don't you get that now by using the history?
Not if history is disabled. And history is wonky on some boards.

Ahhh, excellent point. It was messed up for a while on a few boards a while back. But isn't the point of history being disabled on a board an option to influence the strategy of the game either by the board creator or the game/host?

I have done this manually on boards where history is disabled. Mostly I avoid these boards.
+1 to this feature.

I disagree with this idea. Disabling the history is so that you can't see other players do during their turns. It's expected that you can always see what you did on your own turns. If we had an ideal configuration for the history, then when history is disabled, we should be able to run the history, but only your own turns would be shown, and it would skip the turns numbers that didn't are supposed to be blocked to your view. Since the history issue has been a problem for many many years, I'm assuming that it's something that Tom either doesn't want to fix (because of the amount of work it would take) or isn't able to fix (because of complexity).
I think that bw's idea is a great replacement.
