It was counted twice for rankings when I surrendered. First took me down from 1284 to 1263, then from 1263 to 1243, same game. Did I do something to cause it? And can someone correct it? It's only for private rankings so not really important but you never know if the same thing can happen again later.

a reindex of the rankings is run periodically that clears up issues like this.  not sure how often.

Can you schedule another? It happened again right now. This time I won the game so got two wins instead of two losses, but I like to have things correct, and I'm sure my opponent would like to limit his losses (it was a public game).

The problem still exists.

For the Global Ranking Score shown on my Player Profile the following win was counted three times:

It looks like this only happens when someone surrenders, so my recommendation to everyone is to play until you're eliminated. Instead of the surrender button just make it easy for your opponent to eliminate you. 

Of course, most time a surrender won't have this effect, but it appears it does occasionally. I haven't surrendered in any game for months now.

It's fine to surrender as that's what the reindexing is for.

Isn't it better to limit errors as much as we can?

Not sure if this happens to everyone occasionally or just people using a specific browser or something else. I do hope everyone forgives me for not surrendering, though, to keep my stats as much in order as I can. 

I could agree with that except the times I've surrenderesurrendered it hasn't been issue and the reindexing is what makes the errors a temporary issue

Does it fix everything? In his ranking history, Portland got his rating increased only once, but with the points from the 3rd calculation, not from the 1st.

I'm pretty sure it does. Tom explained the reindexing and why it  is easier do this. It's in another thread a little while ago.
