    are the board/fill transparency settings something that is supposed to save for the board? or are they just there to experiment with?

    They do not save for the board, they are just a tool to view your different layers.

    If I could figure out how to draw a line in Photoshop I would be a lot more well off with the Mac thing...

    Thanks. It would have been nice to adjust my transparency there, but I could have changed it in my photo editor in less time than I spent trying to get it to save.
