Board Description

A Wargear battle on a Backgammon board.

Who attacks who and how?

  • Each chip on the tray can attack the inner chip of the same color with normal borders and the inner chip of the opposite color with artillery borders up to 4 stacks away.
  • Each top (towards the center) chip on a stack attacks other top chips of their color in the direction according to the arrows up to four stacks away.
  • Each top chip attacks other top chips of the other color in the direction according to the arrows up to four stacks away with artillery attacks. So, you can reduce a chip of the other color to neutral, but not capture it.
  • Chips in each stack also attack their neighbors in the stack.
  • Chips on the tray also attack the doubling cubes.
  • Doubling cubes cannot attack anywhere. Units placed on them will never be able to attack again.
  • How do the bonuses work?

  • A bonus is given for owning an entire stack. The bonus is 1 less than the number of chips.
  • A bouns of 5 is given for owning all the chips of a single color in one of the 4 quadrants of the board.
  • 1 unit is given for each of the chips on the tray.
  • 3 units is given for owning all the chips of a single color on the tray.
  • Owining a doubling cube gives the bonus equal to the amount of the cube.
  • Eliminations?

  • If you are reduced to just owning a doubling cube then you can't do anything. That sucks, but if it happens it's your own fault.
  • Card capture on.
  • Cards Scale?

  • 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 22, 26, 30, etc
  • What else?

  • Unit max on doubling cubes equal to the multiplier.
  • Return to attack from fortify is on.
  • 4 fortifies per turn. Fortify to neighbors.
  • Abandonment in ON and territories with no units will revert to neutral at the end of your turn!
