I had a light bulb moment today while trying to find my territories on a map with lots of similar colors and 12 players. It would be handy to have a button/option that when clicked in the player would highlight all your territories to make it easier to see them. Probably something for Highlight Team would be helpful as well.
Thoughts?
Just a toggle option (like Fill is in the Board Designer) that pops up with the fill-circle thing (like when you place units or go to attack) would be cool and would help your stuff stand out. Guess I don't know if it would stay highlighted during the whole turn or just at a specific time (ie Unit Placement).
I like the Highlight Team thing too, and even potentially have the option on the Info tab to do that for any player/team on the board.
asm is a CYLON!!!
me likey.
So you want The Player to make all the territories that are the same color to appear all the same as a different color so as to make them easier to see?
;)
No I want it to highlight the fill with a glow or some graphical magic so its easier to see the territories owned
This would be great for planing out the elimination of a player so that you don't miss a territory (This has been my bane on "Brick in the wall").
It would be better if board designers eliminated colors that cannot be distinguished easily on the map.
The team thing would be great just in it's own right, all other thoughts aside.

That would be wonderful. There are a number of boards with small territories where it's easy hard just to see who has them by color. I know you can hover, but something that made a temporary glow around every territory a player owned would eye-catching.
Good idea - I'll add this.

Super Awesome!!!! Very nicely implemented!
Although do you have to have the setting "The Player information table can be located either below the board image and as a separate tabbed item or just as a tabbed item." set to Show in both locations to have the highlight ability?
Very nice, is there anyway you could get an instant tool tip "Highlight [Player]'s Territories" (or something similar) so that it is known that clicking in the table actually does this? I had no idea it was implemented until I read Yertle post and still didn't see instantly what to do to highlight.
Wow you guys discover this stuff quick! Wasn't planning to announce this till tomorrow. Yes, tooltips would be good. Also that's true about the info only being available if you have that option set Yertle - not sure what I can do about that requirement.
It's beautiful. An added bonus is it helps to see unit counts that are sometimes obscured by map elements.
And does Yertle spend his time clicking on things for the fun of it?

This was a lucky find, a random click on our Clue game.
Bug:
If you sort the Player Information table by anything other than Player #, then clicking on the Player row doesn't get updated, it still highlights as if by Player #.
Example:
# Player Cards
1 Player A 2
2 Player B 1
3 Player C 4
Sort the list by number of Cards (highest first) then the information table shows:
# Player Cards
3 Player C 4
1 Player A 2
2 Player B 1
But clicking on the Player C row will still highlight the territories of Player A (seated #1), and on down the list.
*edit*
Added enhancement request: I do kind of wish clicking on the same player name twice un-highlighted the territories, rather than having to take an action on the board.
*edit2*
Have any ideas/plans of adding Teams as well? A Team Information table would be cool too though, so perhaps with that :).
Thanks!
Hey! Where'd this go?!
I am so happy to see this, Thanks Tom.
Sure no problem, 'twas a good idea. It's working OK for you right Yertle? Team highlighting also?

Yep, working great!
