Something got seriously screwed up around 5:12am this morning (5/4) in this game: http://www.wargear.net/games/view/15580.
I played all my turns before I went to bed last night (about 8 hours ago), so I was very surprised when I woke up to find that my turn had been skipped in that game. I looked at the history, and it reads:
922 | LA VALLETTE skipped turn | 05/04/2010 | 05:12:01
923 | Kjeld received 4 units | 05/04/2010 | 05:12:01
924 | Kjeld skipped turn | 05/04/2010 | 05:11:01
925| Fogged | 05/04/2010 | 05:11:01
Notice that my turn is recorded as skipped a full minute BEFORE it was even my turn.
Has been reset.
thanks!
Here's another one, not sure exactly how long it was my turn but less than 2 hours: http://www.wargear.net/games/view/17118
Thanks
Is there an easy way to tell if this happened without looking through histories? I have emails turned off.
While the autoboot/skip engine is having hiccups on updates, I'd turn on the emails for skips if I were you.
If you have a reason not to, I have nothing helpful to offer.
I've restarted that game.
It's an odd one, I have checked the other skips around that time and there is nothing incorrect. My best guess is the autoskip ran in between the time that the game board was set up and when the turn timer was started at the beginning of your game. This led to a condition where your turn timer was set to 0 which meant you were skipped. I'll add an extra check into the skip code to prevent this in future.
Thanks tom!
In this game I was skip when my turn started.

I've restarted the game and added an additional check in the boot code to prevent this happening in future.
I had issues placing men and then was skipped without anything happening in this game:

Thanks Tom.
That game has been fixed up now.
Charles Khan got skipped wrongly in this game: http://www.wargear.net/games/view/16893
Incidentally, this is the same game that's been having all the history issues. If you'd like to stop dealing with it, I guess we could restart but I like my chances at winning the way it is now.
There's no skips in that game that I can see?
Interesting. I looked at the history, which while not displaying correctly generally shows the right thing in the log, and it says Oatworm finished turn, then 5 seconds later two fogged things, then my turn which is after C Khan's. Also, his position on the board didn't change at all. If there's no skip I guess I'll go on, but it doesn't make sense to me.
What turnid is this?
I receive units on turn 470. Thanks for looking into this.
Here's C Khan's message in the game:
"I got your message bengaltier. You're right, my turn got skipped. Didn't see when you took England. It's written booted next to my name... If they can fix it, I would go with continuing this game. But, I will go with the majority. "
Thanks!
I'll try to recover it - if I can't then I'll have to restart.
