That particular map, Astrowar2210 - it just appears to me to be some random color-coded continents forming an O in outerspace. Is that all there is to it? Any special gameplay or thematic elements?

Well great lord, General sir -- really picked it because it was rated one of the worst.  I figure - we could replay on it - see if it is really the worst, and vote it off the island if so...  Whaddaya think?

Hey -- how goes the super large format Westeros-Essos GoT board?  I know we played on it in a development form - is it ready for prime-time yet?  Also - who was lead on developing that?  I had a couple more thoughts... thanks!

Sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread, but I think Psilofyr is developing that board and last I saw, it looked very good, though not all the functionality was in place. Looking forward to both that and berick's Plague map.

Every territory starts with 10 units.......that's what separates this board, Thingol.....

But that doesn't seperate it from other maps. Islands of Kjeldor, I believe, also starts with 10 units per territory and there are other maps which have high starting unit counts on setup.  I like a lot of Yertle's maps and many of them have unique themes and unique gameplay.  This particular map just seems relatively uninspired in comparison to all his other efforts. I'm giving it a try, but I tend to lose these types of games (unless I start with very good dice) due to lack of interest. But that's just my 2 cents - to each their own.

Yep, both Ancient Isles and Perilous Swamps start with 10 units per territory. But the whole board in each case is designed to work with very high unit counts -- note that the card scale and continent bonus schemes are also proportionally scaled up (and the borders are modded to make attacking a little less advantageous than normal).
