In this tournament, several players will play the same round twice, and not some other rounds. I guess it's only a name problem but I wonder if it might change the score calculation.

Seems slightly odd but everyone seems to be playing 7 games in total and playing everyone else.
Thanks, I understood it was working ok despite the odd names.
I am back with the point calculation issue (post #309). I had no answer on that and it keeps going on. I am surprised as it looks like an easy thing to correct and IMO it's a top of the list issue.
I have spoted 2 problems :
1- The rankings taken are the good ones but the calculation is faulty (it looks like a rounding problem) :
Congratulations, you've won the game Australia
This game took 12 days
16 hours 12 minutes 6 seconds to finish and you took 17 turns.
You
eliminated 3 players.
Global Ranking Score Change
Dud: 1840/2500 x20 = 14
belcharlie: 1096/2500 x20 = 8
MafiosoDong: 1172/2500 x20 = 9
New
score = 2500 + 31 = 2531
You are ranked #5 in the Global Rankings.
Board Ranking
Score Change
Dud: 1992/1109 x20 = 35
belcharlie: 1226/1109 x20 = 22
MafiosoDong: 1036/1109 x20 = 18
New
score = 1109 + 75 = 1184
With a correct rounding, it should give 15 instead of 14 ; 9 instead of 8 ; 9 in correct.
Then 36 instead of 35 ; 22 is correct ; 19 instead of 18 .
2- The calculation looks good but the e-mail you receive is written with the wrong rankings (1662 instead of 1513) :
You lost the game
'10'.
This game took 19 days 8
hours 40 minutes 36 seconds to finish and you took 12 turns.
You eliminated 3 players.
Global Ranking Score Change
Dud: 2612/1662 x20 = 34

wbush: 1407/1513 x20 = 18
New score = 1513 + 183 = 1696
And the problem is also with tournaments with another bug on the top of it :
Congratulations, you've won the game No name idea
15 [R6G3]
This game took 12 days 22 hours 53
minutes 54 seconds to finish and you took 11 turns.
You eliminated 1
player.
This was a tournament game.
Your win record for this
tournament is 5 / 5 (100.0%).
Your tournament score is 14192.
Your
new global Public tournament game ranking score is 1898.
Just before I won the game , my T score was 1882, Kofi annon's was 1033 and Angusjustice was 1166. It calculates like this : 20*1033/1882=11 ; 20*1166/1882=12. So I was expecting my new T score to become 1905 instead of 1898 ( ie 1882+11+12).
The other bug is that the new T score of Angusjustice and Kofi annon are unchanged at 1166 and 1033 despite they lost the game.
Sorry for my previous e-mail about tournaments. Don't read it. I completly screwed up. I got confussed about T-score and GR score.

This is a problem for RR tournaments with more than 3 players per game. It is impossible to schedule these into disjoint rounds like the 2-player RR tournaments in most cases.

The actual formula used is: FLOOR(MIN((losers ranking / winners ranking) * 20, 100)). i.e. it always rounds down decimal points so these numbers are correct.

This is a bug - good spot, I'm surprised no-one else has picked up on this before! It will be fixed in the next update (should be done tomorrow). It's just a display error so does not affect the validity of the ranking calculations.
There is a minor bug (oddity) on any tournament home page (or whatever you want to the call the page that you see after clicking on a tournament link), in the top banner where it says Turn Speed. For 2 and 3 day timers, the 2 and 3 pips make sense with the words "day turn limit", but for the 7 day limit it has a picture of the hour glass followed by "day turn limit" which probably isn't meaningful to all players.
nice catch alpha...
My first attept at manipulating to get my name on top of something and i find a break!
just worked to get #1 ranking on Millenium Falcon board, and it's not showing up in my profile.
It's there, it is probably a caching thing, try a refresh.

By the way, congratulations on the new claim of prowess.
Something goofy going on with this dev game: http://www.wargear.net/games/view/72865
I've eliminated Jigler (it's a two-player game), but the game still appears in my games list and claims it's my turn...
Website Support:
My profile settings appear to reset when I log off and on of Wargear. Specifically, I've noticed that after setting work mode to "On" and clicking "Update Settings," the work mode only stays active for that session. If I log off and then back on, the Work mode is reset to "Off."

I've fixed this particular game - will check for the root cause.

Thanks, though there is one peculiarity remaining -- it still says I have 2 turns waiting at the top of the page, though I only have one AnA turn to take if I click on it. I think it may still be counting the game you just fixed somehow.
It's a cached value - the cache expires after an hour so it should fix itself.
