You should be back now (when you're back).
A few changes are underway to improve site performance using caching. As usual good spot!
is this why I've been experiencing caching issues as of late (last few days)?

Toaster added a border to his AnA board in Dev and said I have to clear my cache to grab the new border...that's not going to be a permanent thing right? Because that's not good IMO. Updating a Live board or something shouldn't require notification to all players to clear a cache to pick up the changes.

No, that definitely shouldn't happen, I'll look into it.
Yup, it's been that way for the last couple of days; the whole week maybe?
Same thing happened with the board image thumbnail on my games list. It was messed up (transparent fill image) until I cleared my cache and then it was back to normal.
The way it should work is that if you make an update, it increments the board version stamp. To get the updated board details, you can either press the Reload button or you can refresh the page. I just tested this process, can you confirm it works for you?
1. Start a game on a Dev board
2. Delete a border
3. Click on the game Reload button and confirm that the border is no longer visible in the game.
If this doesn't work, can you let me know what browser and board you are working on?

Yep, looks like it is working correctly now!
Awesome and thanks!
