did the time limit on open tourneys actually get put into effect (affect?)?
i only needed 3 more for it to fill.
Effect.
Yes it did... 60 days. I can restore it if you really want... which one was it?

Did something get placed for open Public games too? Or just tournaments with 60 days?
Yes, the housekeeping settings I've put in are:
Open games: deleted after 30 days
Open tournaments: deleted after 60 days
Live games: terminated after 30 days inactivity
Login sessions: deleted after 30 days without logging in
do usernames get deleted after so long of non-use also?
dunno about restoring the tourney (#2 BTW). yes i'm bummed, but it took forever and still wasn't full yet so the likelihood of it being a complete tourney anyway was prolly low.
i may just wait until we can get special invites (to fill teams) before going public or the ability to kick out and replace dead players to start a new one.
No, usernames don't get deleted. It might happen for usernames that are created but never activated or play in a game but deleting a user who had joined a game would break the display of that game in the history.
Tournament count is at 187, how many of those have been (or would have been) Deleted by the system tom?
At this time 60 days for a tournament is quite restrictive I think. Add in mass email invite for each public tournament and they may fill up faster and the purge may be better. Until then though 60 seems too quick IMO.
It did seem a shame to knock out a tourney that was close to filling - but there were others that needed to go. Here is a suggestion -
Give a tourney 30 days to be 1/3 full, 60 days to be 2/3 full and 90 days to fill.
or something like that.
I'll crank it up to 90 days for you wt.

So...could a player set his Vacation for the full 30 days and not make a turn and thus result in a terminated game?

wasn't my asking, but thanks for the thought!
my guess is that it was more than 90 days anyway.

Uh... yes. Maybe I should do a vacation check as well :)
