A good carryover from the other site. It's a good setup, but play can degenerate predictably. Would be better if 'return to attack from fortify' was on, which I believe was the setting on the other site. That would bump up the rating for me 1 star.
I'd love to see a version of this where the cards aren't quite so ramped/high. It seems like a lot of games come down to who gets cards first. If one team both gets a match on turn 3 they can end the game.

Decent board. The sniper towers provide a lot of offensive capabilities while not being too overpowered since you can only have 5 units in them. I enjoy the chaos that occurs in the middle of the map when all four players are trying to take control.
Love CTF from wf. Great concept and design. One thing I do not like here is the card scaling. It, just like main regular board, makes cards more important than strategy. Cards shouldn't ramp up; then it would be perfect.
One of my favorite boards on ToS, I'm so glad it is here on WG! Takes some getting used to the general layout and special rules (what attacks what and with what dice advantage) of the board. Make sure you click around to see, you'll be glad that you did (you have to learn how best to use/defend the sniper towers). Remember to get a crd you have to conquer a space that has some units - taking over a bunch of 0s won't get you a card.
Many different ways to win - you can play defensive and let others slug it out, and being aggressive at the right times can enable you to be the "leader". It's natural for 2 players to align against someone who is running away with the game - if it happens to you, don't take it personally!
WW did a great job on this in WarFish and the slight modification in WarGear improves the play, but takes time to get used to. A fast play game with many winning strategies.
