How difficult would it be to add in a tool where designers can click and drag a selection tool which would select all of the territories within the selection area?  If this is possible, set it to add any additional selection.  

You mean an expansion of the Select Multiple button? So that instead of clicking on each territory you would be able to 'lasso' territories? Then what? You can move them or more for creating continents?

Yertle, "lasso" would be pretty cool. Even if we just get a box as you do selecting icons on a windows desktop. Once they are selected then you can do all the same things you could with select multiple... mostly drag them around. or change unit maxes.

Most of the time, it probably wouldn't matter too much. But I know on 1776, it sure would have saved a lot of clicking. My rework of Helmsdeep would appreciate it, too. I think I put this behind some kind of "snap-to" functionality, but it would be nice.

Not a big priority... I was just selecting the 144 territories in a 12x12 grid individually under scenario to delete... then I realized you don't select to delete, so I had to click them all individually again. In my sub-breath muttering I heard myself wish for a selection box.

Gotchya. I think 'lasso' grouping into continents could be cool too.
