Can someone explain the meaning of these settings:

Team unit placement (ON / OFF)

Team unit transfer  (ON / OFF)

I just assumed that Team placement means when it's your turn, you can place your (in hand) bonus armies on your team-mate's territories.

Transfer is similar - You can fortify from your territories to your partners'.

Um, that's what I thought they meant, and it looks like it from the description:

thx, i did not see that explanation in the rules,

    now for the next part.

does 'transfer units' mean using 'attack/fortify' on your team mate's territory? or when this is ON is it something else that i haven't seen before cause most people turn this OFF?

In a normal game (not SG) it's a regular transfer order.    In an SG game it's the attack/fortify order, but you have to un-check the team move box in order to conqure the territory from your team mate.
