    I'm thinking of making some updates to the Simple World scenarios, and I wanted to make a post to give everyone a chance to critique these changes before I made them and give a chance for input.


    One problem I have had is that card scales seem to grow too quickly.  Right now card scales and starting bonuses differ depending on the # of players supported by the scenario, and break down like this:

    2 player
    cards= 5,10,15,20,25
    starting bonus =3,6

    3-8 players
    cards=4,6,8,10,12,14,...
    starting bonus = 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6

    9-16 players
    cards=4,5,6,7,8,9,10,....
    starting bonus = 3,3,3,3,4,4,4,4,5,5,5,5,6,6,6,6


    I think I will break scenarios up into 4 groups instead of 3, and slow down card scales a bit.  Here are my proposed changes:

    2 player (no change)
    cards= 5,10,15,20,25
    starting bonus =3,6

    3-4 players
    cards=4,6,8,10,12,14,...
    starting bonus = 3,4,5,6

    5-8 players
    cards=4,5,6,7,8,9,10,....
    starting bonus = 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6

    9-16 players
    cards=4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7...
    starting bonus = 3,3,3,3,4,4,4,4,5,5,5,5,6,6,6,6


    I also was thinking of adding a per-region hordes scenario.   This means you gain hordes bonuses within each current "continent".  Continent bonuses would be a lot higher with hordes.   I will probably use the same fog as the 'distant fog' scenario for the hordes scenario.  Since continent bonuses are so high, I will eliminate the "per territory" bonus, and instead increase the minimum bonus to 5 per turn.

    I also plan to change "Team Unit Transfer" to On, and modify the cards so that the black border on the cards does not blend into the background of the card selection screen.  Maybe invert the cards?  Or a 1px white border around the outer edge.   I'm not sure.

    If there are any other scenarios or changes you would like to see created.  (simultaneous unit placement or territory placement?)  Please mention it here and I will try to make it happen.

    Also, I will need a few test games on this, and especially testing the large scenarios can be hard to fill a game, so let me know if you would be willing to help with this.
