I am getting civil war games duplicating themselves.  I initially see them listed once in the Join Games tab, but after I join a game it is still in the Join game list.

It happened twice last night and I have recreated it twice today.

Currently I am in A Big One twice:

Those are all different games. What happens with the open games list and Join Game tab is that games with the same number of players on the same map aren't listed twice. They are hidden. Once you join, the first game disappears from the Join Game tab (and into the My Games tab). The next game that was hidden from the list then appears in the Join Game tab.

The host can use the same game name for different games. If you really only wanted to be in one of each game type, most are still on the join phase, so you could click the Leave Game button if you just want one of each.

Just as an example, Blackdog didn't join the game

So, they aren't "duplicates". They just have the same name, number of players, and map type.

Ah okay, that's kinda what I thought.  And I'd love to be in all of them, my favorite map by far.
