Hey folks-

I've installed optiPNG plugin for paint.net-- I'm not sure if it works automatically (because I can't seem to access it in-program) but I'm seeing no change in the file size.  Do you guys have any tricks to make PNG files smaller while maintaining different alpha levels?

yeah, to utilize optiPNG you must have your image open, then when you select "save as," optiPNG will be the bottom option in the selections.

If you still need it smaller, use "posterize." This will lower the file size without a noticeable difference.
