We could start a tournament and if we don't have enough to fill it then just do a single (or a few) individual game(s)

unfortunately the chatroom feature of the chat bar doesn't work to create one. we could do a FB or google group chat. i could prolly set up some sort of invite (ala webex) that allows you to join if you've got an invite. then at a specified time, we take count of whomever is there. 

i say we see who all shows up and try a quick tourney. if not enough show, then we back up to a single game.  (hey look Afro just said the same thing!)

Too bad Stellar Conflict isn't live yet, because that would be a pretty fun tournament...

Also, might I suggest Clue if we have exactly 8 players? I see that being pretty fun in real time

I haven't touched Stellar Conflict in a while.  I was working on a version berickf suggested, but it takes so much time to setup a new test.  Though the most fun I've had on that board was when my opponent was online.

Agree with AD. Clue would be fun, if we had an even amount of participants.

does anyone NOT have a google account they can use for a group chat? we can do a 'anyone with a link can join' via google hangouts. i was hoping to use that service. i could potentially use my work account to set up a webex, but that's phone call instead and didn't want to use it if i didn't have to. 

if you have a google account, PM it to me and we can test the ease of use in the next could days beforehand.

It has some weird buggy issues.  Messages don't always deliver, it's got some weird bugs.

So will the tournament show on the tournament tab? I don't see it

Opening the tournament early could ruin it.  If we open it right when we start, then nobody can join who isn't planning on playing. 

I'm assuming we don't have enough for a tournament tonight, but I could be wrong.  How can we take roll?  We're starting in just over an hour.

I just kinda need to know the map ahead of time so i can learn how to play it because more than likely i have not played it lol. 

I was hoping for a pretty easy game for the first time for that reason.  Colossal Crusade and Invention were mentioned.  Also, clue if we have 8.  Those are better for a single game rather than a tournament, I think.  If we want to do a tournament, I'd do a 1v1 round robin or something?  Thoughts?
