Sorry to bother you with this, but my country (USA) has disappeared from my profile. I checked around in various places to try to get it back, but no luck. Also, my profile pic doesn't show up anywhere except on the profile. Otherwise it is just a question mark. What am I doing wrong? Thanks very much!

I think when this happened to me, Tom told me to clear my cache (on profile page), and that did the trick

Thanks, Chele. I went to the timezone settings and found the country setting there, as per Tom. Was your advice about that or about my profile pic showing as a question mark in a lot of locations?

Come to think about it, it might have been about something completely different. But I do know that clearing my cache has resolved a couple issues in the past, so it's the first thing I do when I run into an issue now
