So I want to update the background image of my Another Brick in the Wall map to make the thumbnail more attractive. What is the best way to go about this? It's literally just replacing the white bricks with varying shades of red. Do I take it down and put up a new version 1.1 (can I even circumvent the review process in that way?)?

You should be able to create a new version and promote directly to live... but if it's just cosmetic then Yertle or I can edit the Live board directly.

Why not let designers modify the game graphics in a live game?  As long as countries, borders, continents, and rules remain frozen, gameplay will be unchanged.  You could even let the positions of the countries be modified without affecting gameplay.

Because it's possible to break Live ranked games - either by accident or deliberately.

Also what a designer may think is an inconsequential change might confuse players if it happens mid-game.
